STAT TV: TV Ad Spendings in the US

In the latest Advertising Expenditure Forecast report, ZenithOptimedia is projecting a 2.2% growth in advertising for 2011 in the United States, despite the precariousness of the economy and the continuing threat of a recession.

In television, ad spendings are expected to reach more than $185 billion by the end of the year, a 4.6% increase compared to 2010. Moreover, the report show continuous spending growth up until 2013, where TV ad expenditures could reach over $207 billion.

Finally, in 2011, TV earns more than 40% of the advertising expenditure in the U.S., a share on the rise since 2010.
