TORONTO (October 2, 2014) – Small business gets personal and primetime with the launch of BNN’s BARGAIN BROTHERS. The all-new original Canadian series, premiering Tuesday, October 21 at 7 p.m. ET during SMALL BUSINESS WEEK, goes behind the wheel at Ride Time – a third generation, family-run, used-car dealership in Winnipeg. The six-episode, half-hour, small business reality series follows the MacIver family as they try to keep the family together and the business thriving among everyday antics. This light-hearted, comedic take on family business delivers both laughs and a real-life glimpse of the challenges and opportunities small business owners routinely face.

Determined to make Ride Time the most successful used-car operation in North America, brothers Doug Jr. and Andrew MacIver exhibit the passion and drive required to elevate the world of second-hand car sales by delivering first-rate customer service. Along with a zany staff comprised of family members and friends, the MacIver’s are on a mission to carry on the legacy left by the family’s patriarch, Doug Sr., while simultaneously working to transform the reputation of used-car dealers everywhere.

“Not only does the series go beyond the stereotypes of haggling and tire-kicking associated with used-car sales, BARGAIN BROTHERS offers an insightful glimpse into the mechanics of running a successful small business,” said Grant Ellis, General Manager, BNN. “As part of our week-long celebration of Canada’s entrepreneurs, the launch of BARGAIN BROTHERS will help show that BNN cares about all of our country’s great business stories, not just ones involving TSX-listed companies.”

Highlights from episodes 1-3 of BARGAIN BROTHERS include:
