The STAR TREK UNIVERSE panel at New York Comic Con delivered an astronomical number of revelations this weekend, including the surprise drop of the first of six 10-15 minute short stories from the all-new STAR TREK: SHORT TREKS and a new trailer for the highly-anticipated STAR TREK: PICARD that includes the January 2020 premiere date. As well, fans were served a teaser trailer for STAR TREK: DISCOVERY. Here’s the scoop on all the STAR TREK news:

STAR TREK: SHORT TREKS is back!

After executive producer Alex Kurtzman made the surprise announcement during the panel on Saturday, the first installment of six all-new STAR TREK: SHORT TREKS is available to watch now! The first short, “Q&A, follows Ensign Spock’s (Ethan Peck) first day aboard the U.S.S. Enterprise, which doesn’t go as planned when he and Number One (Rebecca Romijn) are unexpectedly stuck together in a turbo lift. “Q&A” is available to stream now at CTVSciFi.ca and on Crave.

While the first installment may have come as a surprise on Saturday, the dates for the remaining STAR TREK: SHORT TREKS have also been revealed. The next five stories are set to roll out on CTV Sci-Fi Channel as follows:

  1. “The Trouble with Edward” airs Thursday, Oct. 10 at 9 p.m. ET
  2. “Ask Not” airs Thursday, Nov. 24 at 9 p.m. ET
  3. “The Girl Who Made the Stars” and “Ephraim and Dot” air Thursday, Dec. 12 at 9 p.m. ET
  4. “Children of Mars” airs Thursday, Jan. 9 at 9 p.m. ET 

 

A premiere date for STAR TREK: PICARD? “Make is so!”

A new trailer for STAR TREK: PICARD premiered at the con and it’s packed full of new footage and familiar faces. But the biggest surprise? A premiere date for the much anticipated new series!

STAR TREK: PICARD premieres Thursday, Jan. 23 on CTV Sci-Fi Channel and streams Friday, Jan. 24 on Crave.

 

A never-before-seen teaser trailer for STAR TREK: DISCOVERY Season 3!

The first look at the upcoming third season of STAR TREK: DISCOVERY takes us in to the future! After making the jump in the second season finale, Season 3 finds the U.S.S. Discovery crew dropping out of the wormhole and into an unknown future far from the home. Now living in a time filled with uncertainty, the U.S.S. Discovery crew, along with the help of some new friends, must together fight to regain a hopeful future.

STAR TREK: DISCOVERY returns exclusively to CTV Sci-Fi Channel and Crave in 2020.
