TORONTO (October 14, 2014) – From his humble beginnings to his recent induction into the Canadian Golf Hall of Fame, Stephen Ames’ inspiring journey is the focus of the new 30-minute documentary AMES: FROM A DOT ON THE MAP, premiering tomorrow (Wednesday, Oct. 15) at 8 p.m. ET on TSN1 and TSN3.
AMES: FROM A DOT ON THE MAP debuts immediately after TSN wraps up its live coverage of the 32nd PGA GRAND SLAM OF GOLF, which begins today at 4 p.m. ET and continues tomorrow at 4 p.m. ET (visit TSN.ca/TV for complete broadcast information).
Encore presentations of AMES: FROM A DOT ON THE MAP air tomorrow at 11:30 p.m. ET on TSN5 and on Thursday, Oct. 16 at 1:30 p.m. ET on TSN1. AMES: FROM A DOT ON THE MAP will also be available on demand to TSN subscribers via TSN GO.

Presented by RBC in association with NIKE Golf and produced by Project 10, AMES: FROM A DOT ON THE MAP chronicles Ames’ incredible path from growing up in Trinidad and Tobago to joining the PGA Tour. AMES: FROM A DOT ON THE MAP also looks at Ames’ impact on the Canadian golf landscape and his work with aspiring young golfers.
The special features a candid discussion between Ames and TSN’s resident golf expert Bob Weeks, during which Ames reflects on his upbringing and his career highlights, including his historic victory at the 2006 Players Championship. AMES: FROM A DOT ON THE MAP also features interviews with fellow Canadian golfers Graham DeLaet and Mike Weir, PGA Tour stars Matt Kuchar, Hunter Mahan, and Graham McDowell, swing coach Sean Foley, and Ames’ parents, Marilyn and Michael.
