Astral Out of Home Announces Winners of the Toronto and Western Canada CARTE BLANCHE FOR CREATIVES Competition

TORONTO (May 20, 2015) – Astral Out of Home, a division of Bell Media, announced this week the winners of the Toronto and Western Canada CARTE BLANCHE FOR CREATIVES competition. The honours go to the “Just Right” digital sign campaign developed by Grace Cho and Cameron Spires from Cossette Vancouver, and the “Run” bus shelter campaign, created by Spencer Dingle and Jordan Hamer from LG2 Toronto. The Western Canada market winners were announced on May 20 at The Loft at Earls in popular Yaletown in Vancouver, while the Toronto winners were unveiled during a celebration on May 19 at The Richmond. “Once again, we received high-quality submissions that are a testament to the tremendous amount of creativity at Canadian agencies,” said Lucy Collin, Vice-President, Marketing and Innovation, Bell Media Sales. “This year’s CARTE BLANCHE FOR CREATIVES finalists created highly dynamic campaigns that I am sure made it tough for the jury. In the end, our two grand prize winners were able to convey a strong message for their clients, while using the full potential and creative possibilities offered by Astral Out of Home’s products. Congratulations to our winners!” OOH The winning teams will attend the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity, and their clients will be offered a $50,000 campaign on the Astral Out of Home network. Winners in the Montréal market will be announced on May 28 as part of C2-MTL. Launched in March, the sixth edition of the CARTE BLANCHE FOR CREATIVES competition set a new record by receiving 239 original pieces from across Canada. CARTE BLANCHE FOR CREATIVES was conceived and developed by Astral Out of Home in 2010 to support and reward creativity within advertising agencies in Montréal and Toronto. Highly anticipated by the creative community every year, the competition has since grown to include Vancouver, Edmonton, and Calgary.
