TORONTO (January 25, 2016) – Record audiences tuned in to yesterday’s AFC Championship game on CTV and RDS, as two of the greatest quarterbacks in NFL history faced off in another epic chapter of their storied rivalry. Overnight data from Numeris confirms that a record 2.8 million viewers tuned into to the AFC Championship on CTV and RDS, marking a 30% increase compared to last year’s AFC Championship.
Peyton Manning and the Denver Broncos’ victory over Tom Brady and the New England Patriots was Sunday’s most-watched program, with audiences peaking at 4.6 million viewers as New England drove for the end zone with 45 seconds remaining in the fourth quarter.
Sunday evening’s matchup saw MVP candidate Cam Newton secure his first trip to the SUPER BOWL with a decisive win over the Arizona Cardinals that attracted an average audience of 2 million viewers to CTV and RDS.
