Spring 2014 BBM Surveys: Bell Media, #1 Broadcaster Among Adults 25-54

MONTRÉAL (June 5, 2014)
– PPM data from the Spring 2014 BBM Surveys released today confirm the outstanding results achieved by Bell Media as the top broadcaster among adults 25-54, thanks to solid performances by its NRJ Montréal 94.3, 107,3 Rouge fm, Virgin Radio 96, CHOM 97 7, CJAD 800 AM and TSN Radio 690 radio stations. In all, Bell Media's six Montréal radio stations attract a grand total of 4,361,000 listeners every week. Moreover, Bell Media reaches 87% of the Montréal population1.

107,3 Rouge fm


This spring, 107,3 Rouge fm garnered a grand total of 2,153,000 listeners, in addition to scoring an 18.9 market share among Franco A25-54. These results are testament to Rouge fm's fan loyalty since its launch in August 2011.

NRJ Montréal 94.3


As for NRJ Montréal 94.3, it attracted a total of 1,701,000 listeners and achieved a 12.5 market share among Franco A25-54. Of note, NRJ revamped its music catalogue in January to create its own niche in the Montréal Franco poprock format.

Virgin Radio 96

This spring, Virgin Radio 96 drew a total of 2,026,000 listeners and 28.0 market share among A25-54, making it the #1 English radio station in Montréal, since these surveys were first carried out in 2008.

CHOM 97 7

CHOM 97 7 reached a total of 1,599,000 listeners and 24.8 Anglo market share, ranking second among the most-listened-to stations in Montréal's Anglo 25-54 market. CHOM remains forever and always the #1 station with its target audience, scoring a 33.5 market share among Men 25-54.

CJAD 800 AM


As for CJAD 800 AM, it attracted a total of 438,000 listeners and achieved a 15.8 market share among Anglo A25-54.

TSN Radio 690


Finally, the TSN Radio 690 sports station drew 364,000 listeners and holds a 7.7 market share among Anglo A25-54, a spectacular 36% increase since last winter.

In all, four Bell Media Anglo radio stations attract no less than 76.2% of the market share among Anglo A25-54.
