Bell Media Programming Lands Five Prestigious Peabody® Award Nominations

As was recently revealed by The Peabody Awards Board of Jurors, 60 nominees have been chosen for the 77th Annual Peabody Awards, celebrating the most compelling and empowering stories released in electronic media in 2017. The nominees were selected from approximately 1,200 entries from television, radio/podcasts, and the web.   Bell Media’s specialty and pay television networks HBO Canada, Bravo, and Space are proud to be the exclusive Canadian home of some of the highest-profile nominees, including:   THE DEFIANT ONES (HBO Canada) This Grammy®-winning four-part documentary event explores the journey and unbreakable bond between Jimmy Iovine and Dr. Dre, who individually and collectively played a role in shaping today’s music and popular culture. The series is currently available on CraveTV and TMN GO.   THE HANDMAID’S TALE (Bravo) A television adaptation of Margaret Atwood’s iconic dystopian novel, the award-winning drama THE HANDMAID’S TALE is Bravo’s #1 series, and returns for its 13-episode second season, Sunday, April 29 at 9 p.m. ET.
