HALIFAX (October 9, 2014) – Forthe second year in a row, C100 is proud to support localjunior high school music programs, donating $25,356.77 to the Halifax RegionalSchool Board (HRSB). Today’s donation, which draws on funding made available asan extension of the Canadian Radio-television and TelecommunicationsCommission’s Canadian Content Development (CCD) initiative, will serve toadvance and enrich the existing music programs at three local junior highschools across the Lower Sackville region, including Leslie Thomas Junior HighSchool, A.J. Smeltzer Junior High School, and Sackville Heights Junior HighSchool.

Lastyear, C100 donated atotal of $25,000 earmarked for music programs at local schools. The funds weredivided between nine schools across Nova Scotia, including John Martin JuniorHigh School, Sir Robert Borden Junior High School, Highland Park Junior HighSchool, Halifax Central Junior High School, Cunard Junior High School, ElizabethSutherland School, Duncan MacMillan High School, Harrold T. Barrett Junior HighSchool, and Musquodoboit Rural High School.
