TORONTO (September 9, 2013) – With the Toronto International Film Festival® in full swing, Canada’s most-watched entertainment series ETALK delivers a Canadian exclusive TV interview with OSCAR® Award-winning actress Sandra Bullock (The Blind Side). ETALK anchor Ben Mulroney goes one-on-one with Bullock in Toronto, for a two-part interview about her highly anticipated, 3D space thriller, Gravity, screening at the Festival this year and hitting theatres in early October. Tonight (Monday, Sept. 9) at 7 p.m. ET on CTV, the original “Miss Congeniality” opens up about her first foray into the sci-fi genre, what it was like working alongside George Clooney in the flick, and more. In Part 2 of ETALK’s interview, airing Tuesday, Sept. 10 at 7 p.m. ET on CTV, Bullock chats about meeting Canada’s first female astronaut, Roberta Bondar, and the difficult journey of bringing Gravity to the big screen.

Sandra on meeting Canada's first female astronaut Roberta Bondar:

“She's amazing...I just cornered her and like picked her brain. To know what she did on earth for a living....she's a neurologist and a medical technician as well, so very similar to what I did, and so you're just hoping that you didn’t embarrass her in her profession.”

Sandra on working with George Clooney:

“He's smart. He's not a man for hire or actor for hire...he's a filmmaker…he knows every side of filmmaking. He loves it. He can’t not be doing it."

Sandra on escaping romantic comedies:

“I did Gravity and that was about a year and a half ride for me and I took a year off and I was like…I need funny. I gotta do funny or I am gonna blow up. So I did The Heat….and oddly The Heat came out before Gravity.”

Sandra Bullock is a multiple Academy Award®, Golden Globe® and People’s Choice Award winner with a Hollywood career spanning a vast number of films. Bullock quickly became a household name after starring alongside Keanu Reeves in the classic thriller, Speed. Since then, Bullock has gone on to star in Best Picture winner Crash, the Miss Congeniality film franchise, and most recently, The Heat, opposite Melissa McCarthy. In 2009, Bullock won the Best Actress Oscar® for her role in The Blind Side.

Gravity hits theatres nationwide October 4, 2013.
