Montreal, May 1, 2014—RDS will present exclusive French-language coverage of the 2014 Stanley Cup playoffs’ second round games, starting this evening at 7:30 p.m. ET with Game 1 of the Canadiens-Bruins series (see below for the full broadcast schedule).

The match-up between the Montreal Canadiens and the Boston Bruins will be RDS’s main focus during the second round, as a new chapter will be written in the history of one of North America’s professional sports’ biggest rivalries.

Viewers will be able to follow all the action of the 34th post-season meeting between Montreal and Boston with Pierre Houde and Marc Denis, who are back once again to handle the play-by-play, while Alain Crête, Mario Tremblay and Benoit Brunet will share their insights with fans between periods. The whole team will travel with the Canadiens for road games.

Viewers can also see every single game of the Rangers-Penguins, Wild-Blackhawks and Kings-Ducks series on RDS and RDS2, starting with Game 1 between the Pittsburgh Penguins and New York Rangers on Friday, May 2, at 7 p.m. ET on RDS.

Claude Mailhot and David Arsenault will take turns hosting these games, along with analysts Guy Carbonneau, Denis Gauthier, Jocelyn Lemieux and Mathieu Darche. Michel Y. Lacroix and Yanick Bouchard will provide play-by-play commentary, accompanied by Norman Flynn, Guillaume Latendresse and Gaston Therrien.

Meanwhile, the shows LE 5 À 7, HOCKEY 360, L’ANTICHAMBRE and SPORTS 30 LE MAGAZINE will continue to analyze every move made by the teams still in the mix.

30 MINUTES CHRONO, a live show broadcast exclusively online that focuses on the playoffs and the Habs’ progress while encouraging fan interaction, is back every weekday at 12:30 pm ET. The show will also make the leap to TV screens, as it will be repeated on RDS2 at 5:30 p.m. ET.
