TORONTO (May 1, 2014) — Comedian, writer, and podcaster Marc Maron is back!  The Movie Network presents Season 2 of the acclaimed comedy series MARON, premiering Thursday, May 8 at 10 p.m. ET on The Movie Network, day-and-date with IFC in the U.S. Revolving around Marc’s life and his successful WTF podcast, the new 13-episode season brings Marc’s world of problems, attempts at redemption, and brood of cats back to The Movie Network.

In Season 2 of MARON, things appear to be looking up for Marc, yet he continues to sabotage his professional, romantic, and personal relationships. His dysfunctional family embarks on a new journey when the entire clan is forced to co-exist in the same house for the first time in decades, and Marc’s closest companionship ends when his beloved cat Boomer goes missing.

Returning this season is Judd Hirsch (DAMAGES) as Marc’s scheming father; Sally Kellerman (UNSUPERVISED) as his passive aggressive and self-absorbed mother; Andy Kindler (BOB’S BURGERS) as close friend; and Josh Brener (HBO’s SILICON VALLEY) as his overly eager assistant. Joining this close-knit circle is comedian and fellow podcaster Dave Anthony (1600 PENN) who adds a fresh layer of complication to Marc’s chaotic life. 

Marc Maron is the creator, executive producer, and writer of MARON. Apostle's  Denis Leary and Jim Serpico (RESCUE ME) are also executive producers, along with Michael Jamin (WILFRED), Sivert Glarum (KING OF THE HILL), Duncan Birmingham (QUEER AS FOLK), and Olivia Wingate (John Hodgman: Ragnarok). Tom Sellitti (SIRENS) and Robert Cohen (THE BIG BANG THEORY) are co-executive producers. MARON is produced for IFC by Fox Television Studios.
