Peterborough, ON (December 9, 2014) This Saturday, Dec. 13, Country 105 and Energy 99.7 wrap up the 2014 CHRISTMAS TOY DRIVE in support of The Salvation Army Peterborough with the annual MIRACLE BROADCAST at Lansdowne Place (on the upper level). The two local stations are set to simulcast live onsite from 9 a.m. – 4 p.m., as top donors share their stories of fundraising and toy collection in the community, interspersed with live local musical performances.

New unwrapped toys and monetary donations will be accepted at various drop-off locations throughout the Peterborough area until this Friday, Dec. 12. For a complete list of drop-off locations, listeners are invited to visit www.country105.fm or www.energy997.ca. Toys and monetary donations can also be dropped off the following day at Lansdowne Place during the MIRACLE BROADCAST.

A decades-old annual holiday tradition, CHRISTMAS TOY DRIVE started in 1960 to support those in need in the Peterborough community. Last year, Country 105 and Energy 99.7’s CHRISTMAS TOY DRIVE and MIRACLE BROADCAST raised close to $40,000 and thousands of toys for distribution by The Salvation Army Peterborough.
