CP24 is Toronto’s Destination for Exclusive WorldPride 2014 Parade Coverage, this Sunday

TORONTO (June 25, 2014) – As Toronto plays host to WorldPride 2014, Torontonians and visitors from around the world can tune to CP24 for exclusive, live coverage of the WorldPride 2014 Parade this Sunday, June 29 at 1 p.m.. CP24’s Pooja Handa and Bill Coulter are set to host the festivities from the CP24 stage located in the heart of the parade route at Yonge St. and Grenville St., with Jamie Gutfreund stationed at Bloor St. and Church St., speaking with parade watchers at the top of the route. CP24’s parade coverage will be interspersed with CP24’s trademark non-stop traffic, transit, and weather updates.

CP24’s dedicated WorldPride coverage continues following Sunday’s parade, as CP24 provides viewers with a front row seat inside the WorldPride 2014 Closing Ceremony starting at 5 p.m. at Yonge-Dundas Square, where the parade route ends. Featuring a showcase of live performances, WorldPride Closing Ceremony artists include Tegan and Sara, Hunter Valentine, Robin S, Cee Cee Peniston, God Des & She, and more. In addition, CP24 delivers countless interviews with key WorldPride leaders, talent, and with Torontonians and visitors from around the world.

Leading up to CP24’s WorldPride Parade coverage on Sunday, Toronto’s #1 breaking news station features ongoing WorldPride 2014 updates from the CP24 studio and on the ground at the festival throughout the week, as CP24 takes viewers inside notable WorldPride events. Viewers are invited inside the official WorldPride Gala and Awards (Arcadian Court, 8th Floor, 401 Bay St.), taking place this evening (June 25) at 6:30 p.m., featuring a special performance by award-winning Canadian pop and country singer- songwriter k.d. lang.
