TORONTO (June 30, 2016) – This Canada Day weekend, CTV and TSN deliver exclusive live coverage of the 157th running of the QUEEN'S PLATE, one of 60+ iconic championship events that live on TSN. Live coverage from Woodbine Racetrack in Toronto airs Sunday, July 3 at 4:30 p.m. ET on CTV and TSN2.
Marking the first leg of the Canadian Triple Crown, this year’s QUEEN’S PLATE features three-time Triple Crown champion trainer Roger Attfield in pursuit of a record-setting ninth Queen’s Plate win.
TSN’s Brian Williams returns as host of the networks’ coverage alongside analyst Jim Bannon, Woodbine Entertainment Group’s long-time commentator and handicapping expert. SPORTSCENTRE’s Laura Diakun is joined by Kate Pettersen and Woodbine Entertainment Group’s Jason Portuondo to file reports from track level.
Additionally, the QUEEN'S PLATE will feature reports from CTV’s THE SOCIAL co-host Melissa Grelo, who will break down all the fun and fashion surrounding the big race.
