KITCHENER (March 27, 2014) – Starting Monday, March 31, CTV Kitchener viewers will be able to get the latest breaking news, weather, and traffic updates while watching CANADA AM. Hosted by CTV Kitchener anchor Nancy Richards, the news updates will run every half-hour from 6 - 9 a.m. ET throughout the regular CANADA AM broadcast, providing viewers with a one-stop destination to receive all of their local, national, and international news before starting the day.

“Before heading out the door, viewers need to know what’s happening on the roads, in the sky, and in the news,” said Richards. “We are pleased to provide the latest local updates while viewers are tuned in to their go-to morning show, CANADA AM, on CTV Kitchener.”

“This decision underscores CTV Kitchener’s commitment to its viewers and the importance of local news,” said Don Mumford, Regional Vice-President, CTV Ontario.  “Our crews will be in the studio and on the roads bright and early to bring viewers the information that matters most in the morning.”

Hosted by Beverly Thomson, Marci Ien, and Jeff Hutcheson, CANADA AM is Canada’s most-watched national morning newsmagazine.

CANADA AM can be seen weekdays beginning at 6 a.m. ET on CTV, CTV News Channel, the CTV GO app, the CTV News GO app, and on the CTV Mobile channel on Bell Mobile TV. Viewers can also watch online at www.canadaam.ctvnews.ca and watch the best of the week’s segments on a special Saturday episode, airing at 8 a.m. ET on CTV.
