TORONTO (April 5, 2017) – CTV News today unveiled plans for expansive coverage of the Centennial Commemoration recognizing the 100th anniversary of the Canadian Corps’ success at Vimy Ridge. Marking an event that remains a powerful symbol of the Canadian identity, CTV News delivers the four-hour special VIMY REMEMBERED: THE 100TH ANNIVERSARY on Sunday, April 9 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. ET on CTV and CTV News Channel, and live streamed on CTVNews.ca and CTV News GO. CTV News’ Chief Anchor and Senior Editor Lisa LaFlamme anchors the broadcast live from the Official Vimy Centennial Commemoration Ceremony at the Canadian National Vimy Memorial Park in France.
Leading up to the special, CTV’s flagship national newscast CTV NATIONAL NEWS WITH LISA LAFLAMME will also broadcast live from Vimy, France, beginning Friday, April 7 through Sunday, April 9.
