CTV News Furthers Position as Canada’s News Leader with Four Canadian Screen Awards

Bringing home awards in some of the most-contested categories, CTV News furthered its position as Canada’s national, local, and factual news programming leader. CTV News was awarded Best National Newscast (CTV NATIONAL NEWS WITH LISA LAFLAMME), Best News Anchor, Local (CTV News Toronto’s Ken Shaw), and Best News Information Segment (W5’s “THE SURVIVOR”). In addition, CTV News’ W5 – Canada’s longest-running documentary program -- received the Gordon Sinclair Award for Broadcast Journalism, recognizing the outstanding contributions of television journalists.
