TORONTO (March 13, 2017) – CTV News’ Chief Anchor and Senior Editor Lisa LaFlamme sits down with multi-platinum Canadian singer-songwriter and best-selling author Jann Arden, tomorrow (Wednesday, March 14) at 11 p.m. ET/PT on CTV NATIONAL NEWS WITH LISA LAFLAMME. “Jann Arden is one of Canada’s household names, and we have all been touched by her music for decades,” said LaFlamme. “I’m looking forward to catching up with Jann in a one-on-one setting to discuss her personal reflections on her life and career.”
The Alberta-born Arden arrived on the Canadian music landscape in 1993 with the release of her debut album, Time For Mercy, featuring the hit single, “I Would Die For You.” She has since released 14 albums and 19 Top Ten singles. Arden has hosted Canada’s JUNO AWARDS broadcast twice, in 1997 and 2016, and has been honoured eight times with their statuettes. Arden’s latest studio album, These Are The Days, will be released on March 16.
As an author, Arden’s books include If I Knew, Don’t You Think I’d Tell You and I’ll Tell You One Damn Thing, That’s All I Know, along with her best-selling, self-penned memoir Falling Backwards. Arden is a regular guest host on CTV’s THE SOCIAL, is a frequent visitor of THE RICK MERCER REPORT, and has appeared on sitcoms CORNER GAS and ELLEN.
Arden’s philanthropic work has included World Vision and the MAC Cosmetics Fashion Cares AIDS benefit. In recent years Arden has also supported Gilda’s Club in Toronto.
