Toronto (December 24, 2012) CTV Toronto’s 17th Annual ToyMountain campaign in support of The Salvation Army has now officially wrapped withTom Brown and his honourary elves announcing they have collected nearly 155,000toys, exceeding the campaign’s ambitious goal of 150,000.

 

"This year we are very thankful to all the long-time supporters andpartners of the CTV Toy Mountain Campaign," said Major John Murray ofThe Salvation Army. “The spirit of giving was evident and because of thegenerosity of Torontonians we can now guarantee that every child whoregistered for a toy through our campaign will have a smile on Christmasmorning."

 

“I’d like to thank everyone who donated to the campaign – especially thisyear,” said Paul Rogers, Senior Vice-President, CTV Toronto. “This campaign isa major priority for us, and we can’t help but feel that Torontonians have reallystepped up to save Christmas for thousands of children following a shortagecaused by theft.”

ToyMountain and CTV Toronto would like to thank Toronto Area Ford Dealers, McDonald’sRestaurants, Best Buy, participating GTA shopping centres, Longo’s, BostonPizza, and Uncle Neil and Friends for their generous support of the 16thAnnual Toy Mountain campaign.
