CTV Vancouver Delivers Landslide Win with ELECTION 2014 Special

VANCOUVER (November 18, 2014) – Viewers across the Vancouver area overwhelmingly chose CTV Vancouver this past Saturday, Nov. 15 for its municipal election coverage. With 133,000 viewers tuning in to the 90-minute CTV News special, preliminary data from Numeris (BBM Canada) reveals that CTV Vancouver’s ELECTION 2014 was the most-watched broadcast of the night in the market. Peaking at 183,800 viewers, the special earned 106% more viewers overall than its closest competitor (Global News, BC1, 65,500 viewers), garnering a 3.6 rating.

With #CTVCivic prominently trending on Twitter during the broadcast, CTV Vancouver’s ELECTION 2014 could be seen on campaign headquarters’ television screens as the candidates’ choice on election night.
