CTV’s ETALK Hits Series High as Nearly 1 Million Canadians Tune-In for its Post-GOLDEN GLOBES® Award Coverage

– ETALK led ENTERTAINMENT TONIGHT and ENTERTAINMENT TONIGHT CANADA by double-digits among all key adult demos, F18-49, and F25-54 –

TORONTO (January 12, 2016) – Canada’s #1 entertainment news show has reached a new high. Overnight data from Numeris (BBM Canada) reveals that CTV’s ETALK delivered a series-high audience last night, as Canadians chose ETALK as their #1 source for coverage of THE 73RD ANNUAL GOLDEN GLOBE AWARDS. With an average audience of 984,000, it was the program’s most-watched regular episode ever. ETALK led ET CANADA (664,000; Global) by 48% and ENTERTAINMENT TONIGHT (615,000; Global) by 60%, also leading both shows by double-digits among all key adult demos, and among F18-49 and F25-54. In all, last night’s episode of ETALK reached 2.16 million viewers on CTV. With awards season in full swing, ETALK is also set to deliver extensive coverage of THE 88th ACADEMY AWARD nominations (Jan. 14), CRITIC’S CHOICE AWARDS (Jan. 18), SCREEN ACTORS GUILD AWARDS® (Feb. 1), THE GRAMMY AWARDS® (Feb. 16), THE OSCARS (Feb. 29), THE 2016 CANADIAN SCREEN AWARDS (March 14), and THE 2016 JUNO AWARDS (April 4).
