TORONTO (September 29, 2016) – With a week’s worth of data now available from Numeris for Thursday, Sept. 22, the fourth night of Premiere Week, data reveals that CTV’s iconic series GREY’S ANATOMY returned as the #1 most-watched series of the day. A Thursday night TV destination for Canadians for 13 seasons and counting, the premiere of GREY’S ANATOMY was watched by 2.2 million viewers, becoming the most-watched television series of Premiere Week with all key female demos. With seven days of data providing a comprehensive representation of audiences, Numeris data indicates three of the Top 5 most-watched programs Thursday night were on CTV. CTV can now claim three of the Top 5 programs on three of four nights of Premiere Week (Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday). Along with GREY’S ANATOMY leading the night, Thursday clearly belonged to the stellar leading ladies of CTV, including Piper Perabo in the series premiere of the provocative news media satire NOTORIOUS (1.2 million), and multi-Oscar® and Golden Globe® nominated and Emmy® winner Viola Davis in the return of critical darling HOW TO GET AWAY WITH MURDER (1.1 million). Tonight on CTV (Sept. 29), Meredith (Ellen Pompeo) considers her loyalties, as Alex (Justin Chambers) deals with the repercussions of his actions and Jackson (Jesse Williams) proposes an arrangement to help April (Sarah Drew) through her recovery on GREY’S ANATOMY at 8 p.m. ET/PT; Jake's (Daniel Sunjata) feelings may be clouding his ability to defend and protect an out-of-control Oscar (Kevin Zegers) from the press on NOTORIOUS at 9 p.m. ET/PT; and Annalise (Viola Davis) fights back against the Middleton University Board, as secrets are exposed as the Keating 5 compete to take on the case of a battered woman accused of murdering her husband on HOW TO GET AWAY WITH MURDER at 10 p.m. ET/PT. Tomorrow on CTV (Sept. 30), Cookie legend Wally Amos hopes his new brand of cookies duplicates his past success, and Shark Barbara is touched by a mother's tenacity while pitching a swimsuit business on SHARK TANK at 8 p.m. ET/PT; while Bishop Egan (guest star Brad Armacost) denies Tomas (Alfonso Herrera) permission to perform the exorcism on Angela’s (Geena Davis) daughter, Father Marcus (Ben Daniels) breaks out of Saint Aquinas and joins forces with Tomas on THE EXORCIST at 9 p.m. ET/PT; and Danny (Donnie Wahlberg) and Baez (Marisa Ramirez) are determined to get justice for a traumatized young woman who was held hostage, despite her resistance to press charges on BLUE BLOODS at 10 p.m. ET/PT.
