TORONTO (September 16, 2014) – It’s a cosmopolitan city, full of pomp, majesty, and distinctive architectural style…Welcome to London!  Honouring one of the world’s most vibrant cities, LONDON, NEXT STOP discovers London and its marvels through the maze of its tube stations. Premiering Tuesday, October 14 at 8 p.m. ET/10 p.m. PT on Discovery World, the 13-part series offers a fresh and humorous look at London and its wonders. Shaping the journey through the city, the London Underground – the world’s oldest underground railway – is the best way to discover the British capital. Each episode begins its voyage at a different tube stop, and from there explores the sights, sound, smells, and secrets in the surrounding neighbourhoods.

LONDON, NEXT STOP: “Canary Wharf”

Tuesday, October 14 at 8 p.m. ET/10 p.m. PT

In the premiere episode, LONDON, NEXT STOP visits the docklands around Canary Wharf Station to learn about the amazing evolution: from the time of pirates and tall ships, to London’s “finest hour” and the blitz in the Second World War, to modern architectural splendour, and engineering prowess. And there are a couple of surprises as well…like a farm in the city and a church on a boat!

LONDON, NEXT STOP: “Greenwich”

Tuesday, October 21 at 8 p.m. ET/10 p.m. PT

Stopping by the green and regal neighbourhood of Greenwich,LONDON, NEXT STOP visits the shops on the highstreet, picnics in London’s oldest park, takes in the architecture of the RoyalNaval College, and marvels at the meticulously restored curves of the CuttySark.

LONDON, NEXT STOP: “Bank”

Tuesday, October 28 at 8 p.m. ET/10 p.m. PT
