TORONTO (September, 29 2017) – Discovery, primetime’s most-watched Canadian entertainment specialty channel, continues rolling out its stellar fall lineup of industry leading homegrown programming with the debut of new original Canadian series LAST STOP GARAGE on Monday, Oct. 23. Headlining a “Mashup Mondays” primetime lineup featuring back-to-back episodes at 9 p.m. ET and 9:30 p.m. ET, the rag-tag team of “MacGyver”-like mechanics from Labrador in LAST STOP GARAGE are joined by new competitors in Discovery’s hit original Candian series, CANADA’S WORST DRIVER (10 p.m. ET), as well as Andrew Younghusband in TOUGHER THAN IT LOOKS? (11 p.m. and 11:30 p.m. ET) – also premiering new seasons on Oct. 23. All three series making up Discovery’s “Mashup Mondays” primetime schedule are among the many premieres airing during the network’s nationwide free preview, available Oct. 12 - Nov. 9 through participating service providers. “We are thrilled to bring Discovery viewers LAST STOP GARAGE – another character-driven, authentic, homegrown series telling uniquely Canadian stories that our viewers love,” said Edwina Follows, Director, Commissioning and Production, Discovery Networks. “We’re thrilled to offer this new series as part of Monday nights on Discovery, joining new seasons of Canadian hits CANADA’S WORST DRIVER and TOUGHER THAN IT LOOKS?, also produced through our long-standing partnership with Proper Television.” LAST STOP GARAGE stars a colourful crew of ingenious mechanics who operate out of CRB Automotive – a family-owned garage in North West River, located at one of the furthest driveable points on the eastern seaboard. Using sometimes questionable backwoods resourcefulness, the clever automotive-hack specialists put their “mechanical magic” to work, fixing and building just about anything for anyone in their remote town of 553 residents. With a whole lot of heart, they “get’er done”, Labrador style. Just as the community relies on the shop, the mechanics rely on the eccentric locals for wisdom, parts, and a helping hand.
