Fall 2018 Numeris Survey: 107.3 Rouge Is Montreal’s #1 Music Station Among Adults 25-54 & Women 25-54!

MONTREAL (December 5, 2018) – Numeris released the results of its fall 2018 PPM surveys today, confirming that with a combined commercial market share of 70.5% among adults 25-542, Bell Media remains Montreal’s #1 English-language radio broadcaster, thanks to solid performances from its stations CHOM 97 795.9 Virgin RadioCJAD 800 and TSN Radio 6901CHOM 97 7 remains on top with its target audience, i.e. men 25-54, with a commercial share of 34.2%1. As for 95.9 Virgin Radio, the station has a  21.1% commercial share among women 25-541. Finally, CJAD 800 holds on to the #1 spot once again among all listeners aged 2+, with a commercial share of 41.1%, up 16% vs. fall 20171. In the French Montreal market, 107.3 Rouge is now Montreal’s #1 music station among adults 25-54 and women 25-541. Compared to the same period last year, the station almost doubled its commercial market share among women 25-54 (+80%), and grew its share by an impressive 69% among adults 25-541. As for ÉNERGIE 94.3, the station continued to grow among men 25-54 – up 23% in one year, making it Montreal’s #1 music station among men 25-541. 107.3 Rouge: VÉRONIQUE ET LES FANTASTIQUES Rules the Afternoon Drive Among Women 25-543 Survey results confirm the amazing success of the afternoon drive show VÉRONIQUE ET LES FANTASTIQUES on Rouge fm. Hosted by Véronique Cloutier since the start of the season, the show unquestionably dominates its timeslot among women 25-54, with its market share up 57% vs. fall 20173. In fact, all weekday shows airing on 107.3 Rouge between 5:30 a.m. and 8 p.m. are the most popular among women 25-544. Market share for the morning show ON EST TOUS DEBOUT with Dominic Arpin, Mélanie Maynard and Marjorie Vallée has more than doubled in the past year (+125%)5. That’s also the case with ROUGE AU TRAVAIL hosted by Julie St-Pierre (AM: +170% / PM: +145%), and LE LUNCH 90-2000 hosted by Patrick Langlois and Marjorie Vallée (+177%)6. These two shows are also #1 in Montreal among adults 25-546. With 30.7% commercial market share among women 25-54 and 22% among adults 25-54, 107.3 Rouge registered its best performance since the beginning of PPM measurement in fall 20181. ÉNERGIE 94.3: ÇA RENTRE AU POSTE Grows its Market Share by 71% Among Men 25-547 In comparison with last fall, the afternoon drive show ÇA RENTRE AU POSTE, hosted by José Gaudet, Richard Turcotte and Marie-Christine Proulx, has seen its market share leap by 71% among men 25-547. The morning show LE BOOST! with Philo Lirette, Jonathan Roberge, Julibou and François Pérusse has grown 20% among the same target group8, while MIDI+ hosted by Mike Gauthier has grown 50 %9. As ÉNERGIE 94.3 celebrates its 40th anniversary this fall, its commercial market share is 18.5% among men 25-541. These excellent results have led Bell Media to a weekly total of more than 4 million listeners among its six Montreal stations, each offering varied and complementary formats2. This gives advertisers an opportunity to reach lots of consumers with a wide range of profiles, in both the English and French Montreal markets.
