G'Day! Live AUSTRALIAN FOOTBALL LEAGUE Action Returns to TSN2 Beginning Monday, April 1

TORONTO (March 28, 2013) – TSN2 will broadcast one live AFL game each week plus give fans coverage of playoffs through to the AFL GRAND FINAL as the AUSTRALIAN FOOTBALL LEAGUE kicks off a new season. Coverage begins Monday, April 1 at 12 midnight ET (Sunday, March 31 at 9 p.m. PT) on TSN2 with last season’s AFL Grand Final runner-up Hawthorn Hawks taking on Geelong Cats (see complete broadcast schedule below).

All AFL games broadcast on TSN2 can also be seen live on TSN Mobile TV.

The 2013 AFL Premiership Season features 18 clubs from across Australia vying for premiership glory across 23 rounds of regular season play. The top eight teams advance to the four-week Finals Series with the surviving two teams settling matters in the biggest event of the Aussie Rules year – the AFL GRAND FINAL – on September 28.

TSN.ca will feature a weekly AFL highlight show on-demand that showcases all the spectacular marks, tackles and goals of the round.

There are currently 22 games scheduled on TSN2 with more games to be added in the final weeks of the regular season and playoffs.
