Gusto Serves up a Mouth-Watering Menu of New and Returning Series in October

TORONTO (October 11, 2017) – This fall, Gusto indulges in laughter, hearty competition, and effortless recipes with new and returning series confirmed for the network’s October schedule.
First on the menu, Gusto’s #1 series MARTHA & SNOOP’S POTLUCK DINNER PARTY returns with brand-new episodes, Mondays at 10 p.m. ET/7 p.m.PT beginning October 16. Hosts Martha Stewart and Snoop Dogg invite celebrity friends, including Jamie Foxx (Django Unchained) and Laverne Cox (ORANGE IS THE NEW BLACK), among others, over for a half-baked evening of cocktails, cooking, conversation, and fun where nothing is off limits.
Then, Wednesdays at 9 p.m. ET/6 p.m. PT beginning October 25, Gusto fan-favourite chef Jamie Oliver motivates viewers with stress-free recipes in his new series JAMIE’S QUICK AND EASY FOOD. Based on his latest cookbook, 5 Ingredients - Quick & Easy Food, Oliver’s new series delivers stress-free recipes for people who love their grub but don’t have the time or energy for complicated cooking. Using just five ingredients in every recipe, Oliver proves fantastic food isn’t about endless ingredient lists.
Leading into JAMIE’S QUICK AND EASY FOOD, beginning at 6:30 p.m. ET/3:30 p.m. PT, home cooks battle seasoned chefs in the new competition series THE CHEFS’ LINE. Contestants go up against one chef in each episode, creating a chosen dish from the episode’s featured cuisine. Through five back-to-back, 30-minute episodes airing each week, viewers watch as competitors progress to the next round, where they face off against increasingly more experienced chefs, beginning with apprentice chefs, and progressing to station, sous, and head chefs.
To cap off the work week, Gusto’s DINNER AND A MOVIE delivers a Friday night movie coupled with tasty recipe ideas, beginning Oct. 27 at 9 p.m. ET/6 p.m. PT. During special segments airing throughout each movie, MASTERCHEF CANADA winner Mary Berg details fun and easy recipes that match the movie themes. Some movie and recipe ideas featured include: Italian cuisine for Under the Tuscan Sun, Southern recipes for Sweet Home Alabama, and seafood dishes for Splash.

The “high”-ly acclaimed series featuring unlikely hosts Martha Stewart and Snoop Dogg returns as the joint duo continue to host weekly dinner parties with celebrity friends while putting a personal spin on each of their themed meals. Celebrity appearances this season include Jamie Foxx (Django Unchained), singer Kelly Rowland, Laverne Cox (ORANGE IS THE NEW BLACK), Michelle Rodriguez (The Fast and Furious), and DJ Steve Aoki, among others.

Passion challenges profession as talented home cooks take on seasoned chefs in a heated cook-off. Working up the hierarchy of the chefs’ line, home cooks compete to create a chosen dish from the episode’s featured cuisine. Judges Dan Hong, Mark Olive, and Melissa Leong choose which home chefs progress to the next round, where they go up against increasingly more experienced chefs, beginning with apprentice chefs, and progressing to station, sous, and head chefs.
JAMIE’S QUICK & EASY FOOD – Wednesdays at 9 p.m. ET/6 p.m. ET, beginning Oct. 25 – New Series
