Hubub scores a touchdown as app launches in iTunes in advance of Super Bowl ad campaign

Toronto – Thursday, January 29, 2015 – Toronto startup Hubub today announced the launch of the Hubub app in iTunes for iOS, the first app of its kind - an interactive, continuous feed of the best new videos, articles, blogs and more, all tailored to each user’s specific interests. The company also announced a major, multi-channel promotion campaign with Bell Media that kicks off Sunday, February 1st with TV creative during CTV’s Super Bowl XLIX broadcast, including a 15-second commercial directing fans on Sunday to a special hubub (hubub.com/biggameads) hosted by Bell Media’s TheLoop.ca, featuring this year’s highly-anticipated Super Bowl ads from around the world. Today’s announcement comes after the company announced a major investment by Bell Media last year and launched Hubub.com in December.
The Hubub app pairs with Hubub.com allowing users to experience the Internet in a fundamentally new way – through their interests. Anyone can join or create a “hubub” on subjects as broadly or narrowly defined as they like, from the hottest fashion trends to the best recipes for cooking with red wine. Users can share them with the world or invite friends to collaborate in a private hubub on anything from a class project to planning a wedding. With Hubub, personal information is never sold to advertisers and users own the rights to content they create.

That effort begins Sunday and includes, a 30-second on-air ad about Hubub during the Super Bowl broadcast on CTV and a 15-second on-air ad pushing fans to visit the special Hubub featuring the best Super Bowl ads from around the world, where users can watch and vote for their favourites.
