TORONTO (April 19, 2016) – Investigation Discovery today announced its macabre Spring 2016 lineup of chilling, nail-biting, true crime content. The announcement comes as the channel experiences its most-watched broadcast year to date ever after a steady quarterly audience increase. Anchoring the schedule is the Season 2 premiere of popular Canadian series FEAR THY NEIGHBOR (Wednesdays at 10 p.m. ET, beginning April 27), which follows the disturbing tales of those with the misfortune to unwittingly take up residence within a stone’s throw of a psychopath or killer.
In what is anticipated to be its most-watched broadcast year ever, viewership for Investigation Discovery is up 19% among Total Viewers and 4% among the key Adult 25-54 demo to date (Aug. 31, 2015 – March 27, 2016), and new audience highs have been reached each quarter vs. the same time periods last year (Aug. 31, 2015 – Nov. 29, 2015 up 35%, and Nov. 30, 2015 – Feb 28, 2016 up 20%).
In the Season 2 premiere of FEAR THY NEIGHBOR, wealthy neighbours in Carmel Canyon, California, get into a dispute involving everything from shared roads and bridges to upkeep of their respective properties. Anger finally boils over and the feud is resolved with fatal gunfire.
