Astral’s Carte Blanche Competition Celebrates 10th Anniversary

– The out-of-home advertising contest will be held in Canada’s three key markets March 18 to April 8, 2019 –

MONTRÉAL (March 18, 2019) – Astral, a division of Bell Media, launched the 10th edition of CARTE BLANCHE competition today. The annual out-of-home advertising competition takes place March 18 to April 8, 2019, in three key markets:  Québec, Toronto, and Western Canada (including Calgary, Edmonton and Vancouver). Once again, participants must create original advertising executions for a large-format digital billboard. Each entry must be developed for an agency client and submitted online at before April 8. New for 2019 is the Industry Favourite Award, giving all participants who sign up on the competition website a chance to vote for their favourite creative execution in their market. The entry with the most votes will be crowned the “Industry Favourite”. 2019 Jury Members For the second consecutive year, CARTE BLANCHE has selected a national jury of renowned creative directors who will select the finalists and winners in each of the three markets. This year’s theme – “Head to Cannes with Your (creative) Soulmate” – highlights the relationship between creative teammates who spend lots of time together, but not necessarily “quality time”. CARTE BLANCHE is now giving them the opportunity to gain that quality time, with a chance to win a trip to the International Festival of Creativity in Cannes. In addition to the Cannes getaway, each winning team gets to execute its concept with an Astral out-of-home campaign valued at $50,000. Key Dates:
