Courtney and Adam are the Season 6 winners of CTV’s THE AMAZING RACE CANADA: HEROES EDITION.
To tweet this alert: After three countries, seven provinces, 16 cities, and over 50,000 kilometres, first responders Courtney and Adam have won Season 6 of CTV’s THE AMAZING RACE CANADA: HEROES EDITION. Following an intense fight to the finish line in Alberta, Courtney and Adam were the first team to meet host Jon Montgomery at the final Pit Stop at the Fairmont Banff Springs Golf Course, each taking home the All-New 2018 Chevrolet Traverse Redline, a once in a lifetime trip for two around the world, $250,000 in cash, and the coveted title of THE AMAZING RACE CANADA champions. In this final leg, with everything on the line, Courtney and Adam beat out fellow finalists Taylor and Courtney, and Dylan and Kwame. “I had so many wonderful dreams about this moment, but this is so much better,” said Adam to Host Jon Montgomery at the Pit Stop. “I think 20/30 years from now I’ll remember exactly how Courtney supported me, trusted me, and loved me.” “We learned to keep cool, stay positive, and lean on each other,” added Courtney. “I think most importantly our relationship is 10 times stronger than it was. I didn’t know I could love this guy any more than I already did, and do. It’s such a surreal feeling to look at this guy and look into his face and think about all the things that we’ve done, and we’ve done it together. We really did carry the weight at different times and bring each other up, and we functioned so well as a team.” *MEDIA NOTE* To download press materials for THE AMAZING RACE CANADA: HEROES EDITION, please visit In tonight’s episode season of THE AMAZING RACE CANADA, the final three teams flew from Fredericton, N.B., to Calgary, Alta. for the last leg of the race. Once they touched down, racers searched Calgary International Airport for their next clue and encountered a Roadblock. In this Roadblock, one racer from each team gained unprecedented access to the tallest free standing air traffic control tower in the country where they had to learn about ATIS, the automatic terminal information system, and memorize a 30 second transmission containing the weather and meteorological conditions surrounding the airport. Courtney (Mountie), Courtney (first responder), and Kwame played it by ear and recited the correct word-for-word message to the senior controller. Teams then headed to Apron 2 at the edge of the runway and took a helicopter through the majestic Rocky Mountains, landing 9,000 feet above sea level on Mount Fable. After successfully finding their clue on the mountain, teams proceeded to Sunshine Village in Banff National Park. In this two-part Roadblock, the racer that didn’t perform the first Roadblock had to conquer two extreme winter sports. Taylor, Adam, and Dylan tackled the wild winter sport of skijoring, a combination of skiing and dogsledding, where they had to make two proper laps around the course. In the second part, racers had to slide down a mountain across a pond of cold slush water and pass the finish line to receive their next clue, and final challenge of the race. Teams then scoured the scenic streets of Banff Avenue for marked stores in search of items that represented people, places, or things they saw during the race. Racers had to find at least two marked souvenirs for each of the 11 legs scattered amongst 10 stores. Once collected, teams had to return to the Banff National Park Administration Building to display the objects in the correct order. Following the challenge, teams made their way to the Fairmont Banff Springs Golf Course by traversing and rafting down the Bow River. After reaching land, they had to find the Tunnel 9 golf course and search for the final mat at the fifth hole. First responders and engaged couple, Courtney and Adam, were the first team to find host Jon Montgomery at the Pit Stop, winning Season 6 of THE AMAZING RACE CANADA: HEROES EDITION.
