TORONTO (March 13, 2014) MLS ON TSN delivers exclusive coverage of the transformed Toronto FC (TFC), as their highly-touted off-season acquisitions – including former Barclays Premier League striker Jermain Defoe, American international Michael Bradley, Brazilians Gilberto and Júlio César, and returning hometown star Dwayne De Rosario – kick off the team’s season opener when TFC takes on Seattle Sounders FC this Saturday (March 15) at 4:30 p.m. ET on TSN.

Fans can also watch the game on the newly launched TSN GO (currently available to Bell TV and Rogers customers), which gives TSN subscribers the freedom to live stream the network’s programming from their smartphones, tablets, and computers at no additional charge – just as they would watch Canada’s Sports Leader on TV at home.

The following week, MLS ON TSN is at BMO Field in Toronto to deliver live coverage of TFC’s home opener vs. D.C. United on Saturday, March 22 at 4:30 p.m. ET.

Before the season begins, TSN primes TFC fans with a TSN Original feature on Jermain Defoe that was shot in England and documents the long-time Tottenham Hotspur striker’s final days with the club. The feature will debut Friday, March 14 on the 6 p.m. ET edition of SPORTSCENTRE and will also air in all other editions of the show leading up to TFC’s season opener on Saturday.

MLS ON TSN’s acclaimed commentators Luke Wileman, Jason deVos, and Kristian Jack will helm the network’s TFC coverage. Also handling MLS ON TSN broadcasting duties this season are Vic Rauter, Nigel Reed, and Greg Sutton.

For news and analysis from around the league, fans can tune in to the weekly TSN FC podcast on and iTunes. Fans can also visit for soccer columns by Luke Wileman, Jason deVos, and Kristian Jack, as well as TSN soccer experts Noel Butler and Gareth Wheeler.
