TORONTO (October 3, 2016) – This October, MTV presents a jam-packed lineup of fresh new series, touching documentaries, and the return of MTV’s longest running reality series THE REAL WORLD. Kicking it off is MTV’s first live weekly music show in nearly 20 years, WONDERLAND, premiering Thursday, Oct. 6 at 11 p.m. ET. Featuring live performances by artists including Tinashe, Ty Dolla $IGN, and Broods, WONDERLAND lives and breathes all things music while also covering pop culture and news. Also premiering this month, is the absurd comedy game show, based on the popular British series, THE ALMOST IMPOSSIBLE GAME SHOW, Thursday, Oct. 13 at 10 p.m. ET. Then, at 10:30 p.m. ET, the outrageous comedy series ACTING OUT, hosted by Lil Rel Howery, features some of today’s most irreverent comedians performing their best stand-up while their routines are simultaneously being acted out.
Also, returning to MTV this month are new episodes of documentary series TRUE LIFE, which illuminate the struggles, hopes, and dreams of young people, beginning Wednesday, Oct. 5 at 11 p.m. ET. On Wednesday, Oct. 12 at 10 p.m. ET, MTV’s original reality series makes a comeback when THE REAL WORLD SEATTLE: BAD BLOOD premieres with an explosive new season that surprises seven strangers in a house with their estranged, party-crashing exes. Seven strangers move into an upscale loft in Seattle's Capitol Hill neighborhood with the hope of starting an exciting new chapter in their lives, but what they don't know is there are seven other people coming to crash their party. The roommates revisit a particularly difficult relationship in their lives, capturing their efforts to work through their "Bad Blood" while living under one roof.
THE ALMOST IMPOSSIBLE GAME SHOW (Thursday, Oct. 13 at 10 p.m. ET) *NEW SERIES
THE ALMOST IMPOSSIBLE GAME SHOW is an absurd comedy game show that's so hard to beat. Contestants are given 40 lives...and probably still won't win! Each episode features six neon-clad contestants taking on simple, yet hilariously difficult games. To win, these brave contestants must complete four of the six games, without running out of lives. Comedy duo, The Rubber Bandits, provide anarchic commentary, and their own twisted take, as the contestants try to make the almost-impossible possible!
ACTING OUT (Thursday, Oct. 13 at 10:30 p.m.) *NEW SERIES
An outrageous comedy series in which the most irreverent, established and up-and-coming comedians of today perform their best stand-up routines, and have it simultaneously acted out. These hilarious reenactments bring new life to hilarious stand-up moments. This half-hour series is hosted by comedian Lil Rel Howery (THE CARMICHAEL SHOW).
