TORONTO (March 7, 2014) The second of three Ontario Provincial Party Leaders steps in to host NEWSTALK 1010’s new weekly hour-long show THE PROVINCE, with the Leader of the New Democratic Party Andrea Horwath at the helm this Sunday, March 9 at 1 p.m. ET.

On the heels of last week’s debut of the weekly program featuring Ontario Liberal Party and Premier of Ontario Kathleen Wynne, Horwath is set to speak to a variety of topics facing Ontarians and field calls from constituents through the duration of the show.

"I'm ready to take the tough questions," said Horwath. "Unscripted answers, and off the cuff. I love getting out of Queen's Park and talking directly to Ontarians."

THE PROVINCE features Ontario’s Provincial Party Leaders – Horwath, Premier Kathleen Wynne, and Tim Hudak, Leader of the Progressive Conservative – taking turns hosting the weekly show, each of whom invite their own guests and take calls from Ontarians. In the show’s debut, Premier Wynne focused her attention on provincial infrastructure and stimulating employment in Ontario, as well as answering callers’ questions concerning provincial transportation.

THE PROVINCE is simulcast on 610 CKTB in Niagara, AM 800 in Windsor, and 580 CFRA in Ottawa.
