TORONTO (August 29, 2016) – Succeeding in the “three Rs” of education – reading, writing, and arithmetic – can be challenging without the proper supplies. For the second year in a row, NEWSTALK 1010 helps even the playing field and makes back-to-school brighter for kids in need by giving away 1,010 free backpacks filled with essential school supplies. On Wednesday, Aug. 31 beginning at 11 a.m., NEWSTALK 1010 is offering an opportunity to collect one free backpack per child (while quantities last) and additional supplies from one of two giveaway locations, as follows:
