Numeris Fall 2014 Surveys: Bell Media reaches a total of 4,311,000 listeners every week, thanks to its Montreal radio stations!

These excellent results indicate that Bell Media’s six Montreal radio stations reach 4,311,000 listeners every week, thanks to the solid performances of NRJ Montréal 94.3, 107.3 Rouge fm, CJAD 800 AM, Virgin Radio 96, CHOM 97 7 and TSN Radio 690. Together, Bell Media’s four Anglophone stations hold 73.6 of the Anglophone commercial market share among adults 25-54.
Virgin Radio 96
This Fall, Virgin Radio 96 had a total of 2,055,000 listeners and held 30.4 shares of the Montréal Anglophone commercial market among adults 25-54 (up 9% since last spring), making it the #1 station in Montreal for a sixth consecutive fall season. Also worth mentioning are the excellent results posted by FREEWAY & NATASHA IN THE MORNING, as well as the shows hosted by Andrea Collins, Ryan Seacrest and Mark Bergman, which enabled Virgin Radio 96 to remain the most popular station from Monday to Friday, 5:30 a.m. to midnight, among the adults 25-54 in the Montréal Anglophone market.
CHOM 97 7
CHOM 97 7 ranked third among Montreal’s top radio stations among Anglophone commercial market share aged 25 to 54 with 22.9 of the commercial market shares and a total of 1,531,000 listeners. These strong results also confirm that CHOM remains the favorite choice among its target audience (men aged 25 to 54) with 30.3 commercial shares of the Anglophone market.
CJAD 800 AM
This fall, CJAD 800 AM boasted a total of 427,000 listeners and 15.6 of the Anglophone commercial market shares among adults aged 25 to 54. CJAD also remains number one with regard to market shares in the Anglophone commercial market among listeners aged 2 and up, totaling 32 shares, up 6% since last spring.
TSN Radio 690
As for the TSN Radio 690, the sports radio station has 210,000 listeners and holds 4.6 of the Anglophone commercial market shares among adults 25-54.
107.3 Rouge fm
This fall, 107.3 Rouge fm had a total of 2,166,000 listeners, in addition to landing 19.6 of the Francophone commercial market shares among adults aged 25-54, up 4% since last spring. Note the great success of the revamped Rouge Café which saw its listening share jump by 25% since last spring, from Monday to Friday, between from 5:30 and 8:30 a.m. among the adults 25-54.
NRJ Montréal 94.3
Finally, NRJ Montreal 94.3 attracted a grand total of 1,556,000 listeners, in addition to scoring 12.1 of the Francophone commercial market shares among adults aged 25-54. These results demonstrate the loyalty of the NRJ audience since the station adopted the pop-rock musical format in early 2014.
Thanks to Virgin Radio 96, CHOM 97 7, CJAD 800 AM, TSN Radio 690, 107.3 Rouge fm, and NRJ Montreal 94.3, Bell Media reaches no less than 85% of the Montreal population1.
