RDS Viewing Audience Surges to 2.2 Million for Game 6 of Habs-Bruins Series

Montreal (May 13, 2014) – Yesterday, an average of 2,211,000* viewers followed all the action in Game 6 of the Canadiens-Bruins series. At the end of the third period, as many as 2,750,000* people were tuned in as the Canadiens won, forcing a Game 7 showdown tomorrow evening at Boston’s TD Garden.

RDS had a 54.6%* market share in Quebec while the game was on air, leading once again prime-time TV ratings, with more viewers than all Quebec’s conventional and specialized channels combined.

Prior to the game, the show HOCKEY 360 reached an average of 790,000* viewers—its biggest audience to date—surpassing the record set last Thursday.

Following the Habs’ impressive shutout victory (4-0) the series is now tied (3-3) and heads to Boston, where the winner will be decided once and for all. Watch Game 7 of the series on Wednesday evening, starting at 7 p.m. ET, live on RDS.
