Roast History Proves No Topic is Off Limits as CTV Comedy Channel Gears up For #BALDWINROAST

— September 12, 2019

Emmy® and Golden Globe®-winning actor Alec Baldwin took the hot seat during the taping of his Comedy Central Roast this past weekend in Los Angeles. The annual event brought together Hollywood greats for a night where the iconic star got seriously burned. Not only did a stacked dais of comedians and celebs show up, but also a surprise guest, his own daughter Ireland Baldwin, who got a chance to publically jab back at her father after all these years. Led by Roast Master Sean Hayes, the dais featured a lineup of insult sluggers who came in swinging including; Robert De Niro, Nikki Glaser, Blake Griffin, Caitlyn Jenner, Ken Jeong, Jeff Ross, and more. THE COMEDY CENTRAL ROAST OF ALEC BALDWIN airs Sunday, Sept. 15 at 10 p.m. ET on CTV Comedy Channel.

To prepare for The Roast, here is a look look back at Roast history’s most memorable moments:

  1. When famous stuntman Steve-O broke his nose after jumping into Mike Tyson’s fist, during the ROAST OF CHARLIE SHEEN.

2. Flavor Flav has a unique taste in fashion, which gave roast master Jeff Ross a lot of material to work with saying, “this Roast is impossible, how do you embarrass a crackhead who wears a Viking helmet?”.

3. Martha Stewart is known for her D.I.Y crafts and home-cooked recipes, but she was a true comedian during the ROAST OF JUSTIN BIEBER when she gave the Canadian heartthrob some final advice.

4. An old video of The Hoff drunkenly attempting to eat a cheeseburger was a hot topic during the ROAST OF DAVID HASSELHOFF but the BAYWATCH star took the chirps like a champ insisting that the event was “therapeutic”.

5. When the ROAST OF ROB LOWE turned into a full-blown roast against American far-right media pundit, Ann Coulter.

6. Nobody could cook Bruce Willis over an open fire better than his ex-wife Demi Moore, who made a surprise appearance at the ROAST OF BRUCE WILLIS.

The COMEDY CENTRAL ROAST MARATHON begins Sunday Sept. 15 at 7 a.m. ET leading up to the main event, THE COMEDY CENTRAL ROAST OF ALEC BALDWIN airing Sunday Sept. 15 at 10 p.m. ET on CTV Comedy Channel. To get ready for #BaldwinRoast, CTV Comedy Channel presents a ROAST MARATHON featuring some of the most outrageous celebrity Roast specials beginning Sunday Sept. 15 at 7 a.m. ET.
