Sam Roberts and Bobby Bazini join the Global Citizen Concert to End AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria this Saturday, September 17th at the Bell Centre, Montreal

Montreal, September 15, 2016 - The international advocacy organization Global Citizen, in support of the Global Fund to End AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria are pleased to announced that Sam Roberts and Bobby Bazini will be joining headliners Usher, The Roots,  Half Moon Run, Metric, Grimes, Charlotte Cardin at the Global Citizen Concert to End AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria. The event will also be co-hosted by Diane Kruger, Patrick Langlois, Kweku Mandela, Maripier Morin, Éric Salvail and George Stroumboulopoulos This free-ticketed concert will be hosted on Saturday, September 17th, at the Bell Centre in Montreal. The event will celebrate progress in global health and development and is being produced in partnership with Live Nation and evenko, and official media partner Bell Media. The Global Citizen concert to end AIDS, tuberculosis and malaria will be a celebration of the power of the world to come together for global health, driven by Canada’s leadership. Taking place after a pledging conference where governments and private sector partners commit to funding the Global Fund’s life saving work for the next three years, the event will celebrate announcements from world leaders working together with the shared goal of ending three of the world’s deadliest diseases. These funds, which will save an additional eight million lives and avert 300 million infections, are critical in the fight to end HIV, tuberculosis, and malaria as epidemics. In association with official media partner Bell Media, the concert will be broadcast live to Bell Fibe TV subscribers on TV1, channel 1158, on Saturday, Sept. 17 beginning at 7 p.m. ET and will be available on demand shortly after its live broadcast. Additionally, in advance of the launch of iHeartRadio Canada in the coming weeks, the event will be the first-ever livestream at The concert will be streamed on additional Bell Media Radio websites, also beginning at 7 p.m. The concert is supported by major partner Johnson & Johnson, and associate partners The Coca-Cola Company, Ecobank Foundation, Nando’s, the United Nations Foundation and the Ville de Montréal.
