In PENNY DREADFUL, some of literature’s most terrifying characters - including Dracula, Dorian Gray, and Dr. Frankenstein and his creature - have become embroiled in Victorian London, lurking in the shadows. The series stars Josh Hartnett (Black Hawk Down) as Ethan Chandler,  a charming, brash man of action; Eva Green (Casino Royale) as Vanessa Ives, a force to be reckoned with; Timothy Dalton (License to Kill) as Sir Malcolm, a hardened explorer on a personal quest; Reeve Carney (Snow Falling on Cedars) as the confident and mesmerizing Dorian Gray; Rory Kinnear (Skyfall) as Frankenstein’s monster “The Creature”; Harry Treadaway (The Lone Ranger) as Dr. Victor Frankenstein; Billie Piper (DOCTOR WHO) as Brona Croft, an immigrant seeking to escape her dark past; and Danny Sapani (The Bill) as Sembene, a longtime ally of Sir Malcolm.

PENNY DREADFUL is created, written, and executive produced by John Logan and executive produced by Logan’s Desert Wolf Productions, along with Academy Award-winner Sam Mendes and Pippa Harris, both of Neal Street Productions. Of the eight episodes, the first two are directed by Juan Antonio Bayona, who helmed The Orphanage and the acclaimed film The Impossible starring Naomi Watts in her Academy Award-nominated performance.

In Western Canada, episodes are available on Movie Central HD, on the go with the Shaw Go Movie Central app, Telus Optik on the go and Bell TV Online, and Movie Central On Demand.
