TORONTO (May 22, 2014) – Discovery World is currently making waves – literally – with its real-life, modern day pirate and marine salvage series in the network debut of SHIPWRECK MEN, premiering Wednesday, June 25 at 8 p.m. ET/10 p.m. PT on Discovery World. The four-part series follows four different companies patrolling the coast of southern Florida seeking out boats in distress. Whether it’s saving a sinking vessel, rescuing boats from dangerous hurricane storms, or putting out a massive fire – the salvage companies race into action when trouble strikes.
While their intentions are good, it doesn’t mean it isn’t a cutthroat business. With a fortune to be made, the competition is intense. The first crew on the scene is the one that gets the job – and the lucrative profits.
