Space Alert: Space Confirms Broadcast Details for the 2017 DOCTOR WHO Christmas Special, TWICE UPON A TIME
— December 18, 2017
It’s the most glorious timeline in the universe when Space celebrates all the jingle jangle with its holiday line-up, including the 2017 DOCTOR WHO Christmas Special, TWICE UPON A TIME (Monday, Dec. 25 at 9 p.m. ET). This year, the highly anticipated and beloved television event sees Peter Capaldi’s Doctor regenerate into the Thirteenth Doctor (Jodie Whittaker). Click here for a full episode description.
Before the emotional regeneration begins, at 8:30 p.m. ET, Space gets ready to say farewell to the Twelfth Time Lord with DOCTOR WHO: FAREWELL TO PETER CAPALDI. Narrated by actor Colin McFarlane (The Dark Knight), the farewell show features archive footage and interviews, looking back at Capaldi’s era as the Twelfth Doctor – from his very first script read-through to his very last. The half-hour special also features Steven Moffat reflecting upon his time as a writer and then later as Executive Producer, revealing some of his best and worst moments from his tenure, as well as his favorite episodes.
For those who rely on wit and charm at holiday parties, co-hosts Ajay Fry, Morgan Hoffman, and Teddy Wilson of INNERSPACE provide a crash course in the biggest pop culture events of the year, from STAR TREK: DISCOVERY to Star Wars: The Last Jedi. Catch the year-end INNERSPACE specials from Monday, Dec. 18 – Friday, Dec. 22 at 7 p.m. ET.
And it wouldn’t be the holidays on Space without blockbuster marathons, featuring films from the Harry Potter and Marvel franchises, a DOCTOR WHO Season 10 marathon, and a STAR TREK: DISCOVERY CATCH-UP MARATHON, to get viewers up to speed before the premiere of its second chapter, Sunday, Jan. 7 at 8 p.m. ET / 7 p.m. CT on Space.
