TORONTO (September 19, 2016) – Space congratulates ORPHAN BLACK’s Tatiana Maslany on her first-ever Primetime Emmy® Award win, as announced last night by The Academy of Television Arts & Sciences, in the live broadcast of the 68TH EMMY®  AWARDS on CTV. The star of the hit Canadian series, produced by Temple Street, a division of Boat Rocker Studios, in association with Space and BBC America, received the award for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series for her work as multiple characters in the Space original series ORPHAN BLACK. Maslany is the first-ever Canadian actor on a Canadian series to have received an Emmy® Award for acting in a dramatic series. Nominees in Maslany’s category included heavy-hitters Claire Danes (HOMELAND), Viola Davis (HOW TO GET AWAY WITH MURDER), Taraji P.
