TORONTO (June 17, 2016) – All aboard the Lucy! Space’s most-watched original series KILLJOYS is back with more interplanetary bad-assery than ever before as it returns with 10, one-hour episodes when Season 2 premieres Friday, July 1 at 9 p.m. ET. Space also revealed today a never-before-seen gallery image, available for download here. Created by showrunner Michelle Lovretta and produced by Temple Street, a division of Boat Rocker Studios, for Space and Syfy, KILLJOYS follows interplanetary bounty hunters Dutch (Hannah John-Kamen), Johnny (Aaron Ashmore), and D’avin (Luke MacFarlane), as they hit the ground running to uncover Dutch’s duplicitous and mysterious childhood mentor, Khlyen’s (Rob Stewart, SUITS) secret agenda. Season 1 of KILLJOYS culminated with an audience-high 560,000 viewers for the season finale. Throughout its run, KILLJOYS averaged nearly 450,000 viewers in its timeslot, making it Space’s most-watched original series of all time. Immediately following the Season 2 premiere of KILLJOYS and the Toronto-shot Space series DARK MATTER at 10 p.m. ET, Space dishes out the goods on both smash-hit Canadian series with insider special INNERSPACE PRESENTS: KILLJOYS AND DARK MATTER, at 11 p.m. ET. Hosted by INNERSPACE’s Morgan Hoffman and Teddy Wilson, the 30-minute special features KILLJOYS lead Hannah John-Kamen and DARK MATTER’s Anthony Lemke and Melissa O’Neil, as they dissect plot hints, twists, and theories, and reveal behind-the-scenes secrets. In the Season 2 premiere of KILLJOYS, “Dutch And The Real Girl” (Friday, July 1 at 9 p.m. ET on Space), after failing to rescue D’avin from Arkyn, Dutch and Johnny head to Eulogy, an outlaw-only barter town, in the hopes of stealing a mysterious, high tech shield from the infamous Connaver gang. Executive Producers are David Fortier and Ivan Schneeberg of Boat Rocker Studios, Michelle Lovretta, and Karen Troubetzkoy. D.J. Carson serves as Producer. Universal Cable Productions distributes the series worldwide outside Canada.
