MONTREAL (June 5, 2014) – PPM data from the Spring 2014 BBM Surveys released today confirm the outstanding results achieved by the Bell Media Montreal Anglo radio stations, which all recorded huge rating increases! Virgin Radio 96, CHOM 97 7, CJAD 800 AM, and TSN Radio 690 now reach 3,111,000 listeners every week, in addition to garnering no less than 76% of the Anglo market among adults 25-54.
Virgin Radio 96
This spring, Virgin Radio 96 drew a grand total of 2,026,000 listeners—an increase of 136,000 listeners over last winter. The station also holds a 28% market share among A25-54, making it the #1 radio station in the Montreal Anglo market.
CHOM 97 7
CHOM 97 7 reached 1,599,000 listeners—an increase of 145,000 since last winter. CHOM also scores a 25% market share among Anglo 25-54, thus ranking second among the most-listened-to radio stations in Montreal.
CJAD 800 AM
As for CJAD 800 AM, it attracted a total of 438,000 listeners—an increase of 112,000 listeners since last winter—and achieved a 16% market share among Anglo A25-54.
TSN Radio 690
Finally, TSN Radio 690 achieved its best score ever with 364,000 listeners—drawing another 165,000 since last winter! The sports station also garnered an 8% market share among Anglo 25-54, a 36% increase over last winter.
The BBM 2014 Spring Surveys were conducted between February 24 and May 25, 2014.
