STAR TREK: SHORT TREKS to Launch This Month on Space and CraveTV

TORONTO (October 2, 2018) – Space and CraveTV announced today the much-anticipated STAR TREK: SHORT TREKS are set to launch this month beginning Thursday, Oct. 4 at 9 p.m. ET on Space and streaming on CraveTV the following day, Friday, Oct. 5 at 9 p.m. ET. Featuring new characters and familiar faces from STAR TREK: DISCOVERY and the expanding STAR TREK universe, the four original stand-alone short stories are set to launch during the Space’s nationwide freeview, with subsequent installments rolling out on a monthly basis - airing November 8, December 6, and January 3 on Space. Each story focuses on a key character, including familiar faces from STAR TREK: DISCOVERY – Tilly (Mary Wiseman); Saru (Doug Jones); and Harry Mudd, in a short starring and directed by Rainn Wilson – and the new character Craft, played by Aldis Hodge (UNDERGROUND). STAR TREK: SHORT TREKS are set to roll out as follows: Runaway (premieres Thursday, Oct. 4 at 9 p.m. ET on Space and streams Friday, Oct. 5 at 9 p.m. ET on CraveTV) Onboard the U.S.S. Discovery, Ensign Tilly encounters an unexpected visitor in need of help. However, this unlikely pair may have more in common than meets the eye. Written by Jenny Lumet & Alex Kurtzman.
