This year’s PINTY’S ALL-STAR CURLING SKINS GAME, held at The Fenlands Banff Recreation Centre in beautiful Banff National Park, marks Jones’ second appearance at a TSN skins game. In 2009, Jones won one skin worth $1,500 against Glenn Howard.  After today’s semifinal, Jones’ career TSN skins game earnings totals $15,000, as she won two skins worth $12,500 and an additional $1,000 for winning the tournament’s draw to the button bonus. Skip Chelsea Carey and her Alberta team of Laura Crocker, Taylor McDonald, and Jen Gates will not go home empty-handed following the tightly-contested draw, winning $8,500 in their first-ever skins game. Draw Summary Team Carey took the early lead, pocketing three consecutive skins for a total of $3,500. Team Jones answered back in the 4th end, picking up a $1,500 skin to get on the board and into the game. After a carry-over in the 5th end, Team Carey continued their momentum to take the $5,000 skin and bolster their lead, bringing their winnings to $8,500. With a $4,500 skin, the 7th end was a must-win for Team Jones – and with a clutch in-off, they forced the carry-over. The Carey-Jones battle came down to the last rock in the final end, with Team Jones winning the high-stakes $11,000 skin and securing their spot in the final. The women’s final will see Team Jones take on Rachel Homan and her Ottawa team of Emma Miskew, Joanne Courtney, and Lisa Weagle, following Team Homan’s semifinal win over Team Sweeting – a rematch of the 2014 SCOTTIES TOURNAMENT OF HEARTS final. On the men’s side, Team Morris defeated Team Koe earlier today to advance to the PINTY’S ALL-STAR CURLING SKINS GAME men’s final. Team Morris will take on the winner of Team Jacobs vs. Team McEwen, who square off in tonight’s men’s semifinal #2 at 9 p.m. ET on TSN (see complete broadcast schedule below).
