That’s What He Said She Said. Heartwarming Reunions Fuel the Rumour Mill For a Potential Reboot of THE OFFICE
— March 6, 2019
The drudgery, awkwardness, and truisms of every day cubicle living can be far from exciting, but there’s a certain cast ensemble who always manages to capture the mundane hilarity of office culture just perfectly - the employees of Dunder-Mifflin Paper Company.
It’s been six years since the series finale of THE OFFICE, and the series is just as relevant now as it was years ago as rumours of a reboot have circulated the internet – there’s even a Twitter account devoted to it!
And rightly so because television’s most quotable show could never go out of style with it’s extremely relatable characters including world’s “best” boss Michael Scott (Steve Carrell) and his inappropriate, yet oddly endearing one-liners, Assistant (to the) Regional Manager Dwight (Rainn Wilson), chili-making Kevin (Brian Baumgartner), and everyone’s favourite office couple Jim (John Krasinski) and Pam (Jenna Fischer).
Luckily, viewers can now catch up on the first six seasons of THE OFFICE as it comes to The Comedy Network in March, airing on Thursdays from 7– 9 p.m., Fridays from 10 - 11 p.m., and Sundays from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. ET.
Check out recent heartwarming moments between THE OFFICE alum:
1. Last week, Jenna Fischer and Steve Carrell had a reunion of their own on BUSY TONIGHT as Carrell surprised Fischer on her birthday by popping out of a giant cardboard box!
2. Close to Christmas, cast members including Angela Kinsley, Creed Bratton, and Ed Helms got together at showrunner Greg Daniel’s house for a “family reunion”.
3. Steve Carrell reunited with three THE OFFICE co-stars during his monologue on SATURDAY NIGHT LIVE, including Jenna Fischer, Ed Helms and Ellie Kemper where they jokingly tried to convince Carrell to do a reboot.
A reboot is still unknown, but for now viewers can get their fix with the first six seasons of THE OFFICE airing The Comedy Network this March.
