9 p.m. – TREME – “Yes We Can Can” – Episode 1 of 5

While New Orleans celebrates the election of Barack Obama, Desautel (Kim Dickens) opens her own Bywater restaurant, LaDonna (Khandi Alexander) rebuilds Gigi’s bar, and school band director Batiste (Wendell Pierce) gets invested in his students’ lives.

 

10 p.m. –GETTING ON – Season 1, Episode 2 of 6

GETTING ON follows the daily lives of the unit’s nurses, doctors, and administrators. Working in a system desperate for an overhaul, the anxious staff members are played by three-time Emmy® Award winner Laurie Metcalf (THE BIG BANG THEORY), Alex Borstein (FAMILY GUY), Niecy Nash (RENO 911!), and Mel Rodriguez (COMMUNITY). This dark medical comedy offers viewers a brutally candid and quietly compassionate look into the realities of caring for the elderly.

 

10:30 p.m. – JA’MIE: PRIVATE SCHOOL GIRL – Season 1, Episode 2 of 6

JA’MIE: PRIVATE SCHOOL GIRL follows eponymous school captain Ja’mie (Chris Lilley) during the last few months of her final year of school at Hillford Girls Grammar School. The series highlights the trials and responsibilities that come with being the “most well-known” girl on campus, including her academic and charity work, social life, and relationships with family.

 

Saturday, Dec. 7

9:45 p.m. – HBO BOXING AFTER DARK

HBO Boxing After Dark presents a triple header featuring Guillermo Rigondeaux vs. Joseph Agbeko, Glen Tapia vs. James Kirkland, and Matthew Macklin vs. Lamar Russ.

9 p.m. – TREME – “This City”– Episode 2 of 5

Lambreaux (Clarke Peters) learns his cancer has spread and Delmond (Rob Brown) plays with jazz trumpeter and composer Terence Blanchard in New York. Meanwhile, Annie (Lucia Micarelli) wins song of the year for “This City” and violence strikes one of Batiste’s students.

 

10 p.m. – GETTING ON – Season 1, Episode 3 of 6

Monday, Dec. 9

9 p.m. – SIX BY SONDHEIM

This documentary takes a close look inside the long and prolific career of composer-lyricist, Stephen Sondheim (GLEE). Directed by award-winning Broadway director and playwright James Lapine (Earthly Possessions), SIX BY SONDHEIM is predominantly told by Sondheim himself, weaving together interviews of Sondheim and demonstrating his ground-breaking work that has redefined the musical theatre.


Sunday, Dec. 15

9 p.m. – TREME – “Dippermouth Blues”– Episode 3 of 5

McAlary (Steve Zahn) and Desautel spend New Year’s Eve together. Batiste picks up a movie job, LaDonna comforts Lambreaux, and Colson (David Morse) offers to testify when the New Orleans Police Department retaliates.

9 p.m. – TREME – “Sunset on Louisianne”– Episode 4 of 5

McAlary celebrates his birthday and Bernette (Melissa Leo) finally gets a break in her case. Meanwhile, Annie dumps her band, Lambreaux insists that Delmond carry on as “Big Chief” after he’s gone, and Everett (Chris Coy) returns to New Orleans.
